Yesterday, thousands of runners participated in the Philadelphia Distance Run. For many, it was the first time in over two years that they participated in an in-person running event.
I’ll be honest, watching all the runners come across the 5K and half-marathon finish line definitely left me feeling a little FOMO but being sidelined with an injury meant there was no way I could run.
After speaking with a few people, I realized I’m not the only one who’s taken time away from running due to injuries or just life in general. I've also been spending a lot of time with people who want to try running but aren't sure where to start.
Well, we've got news for you! 😆
This fall, we’re hosting a FREE virtual 5-week training program for runners of ALL levels. Training kicks off on Monday, October 18th and ALL are welcome to join. Seriously, anyone, anywhere, can join!
We’ll be training virtually for either the 5K (3.1 miles) or the 8K (just under 5 miles). You CAN do this!
How It Works - Choose the training plan that meets YOUR needs:
- 5K Level 1: For new runners or runners who’ve taken some time off
- 8K Level 1: For new runners or runners who’ve taken some time off but want to go the extra mile (or two)
- 8K Level 2: For runners who’ve been running consistently for three or more months and want to feel stronger/faster.
Then, during the weekend of November 19-21st, we’ll be running our goal distance VIRTUALLY or in-person at the Rothman 8K taking place in Philadelphia on November 20th. (Race registration is not included).
