What is Strides? Strides is a running-based fitness community that helps you get in shape, improve your health, and boost your mood. We’re combining the “community feel” of a run club with the coaching and guidance of your favorite fitness class.
How do I join? Strides will launch in 2-3 neighborhoods in Philadelphia with plans to eventually expand to other cities. There will be three levels of membership, including a virtual-only option for folks who can’t join in-person or who are uncomfortable in group settings.
Is this really “all-levels”? Yes. All classes are time and effort-based. This will allow you to go at your own pace without the pressure to cover a certain distance. That means if a workout is 10-minutes of mixed hard and easy intervals, that could be a walk/run or a 1-mile PR depending on your fitness level. Either way, we'll all start and finish together.
Is there anything else I can do to help? Right now, the most important thing is to get as many people as possible to vote for Strides over the next 24 hours. Securing $7,500 would allow us to hire coaches, launch our website, and pay for permits and insurance.
