Last week was the longest year ever. I knew there would be a delay in election results because of the mail-in ballots but waiting until Saturday was so stressful! Â
Â
I was one of those people who said they would stay off social media to avoid the madness. I lied. 😫 According to my iPhone, I spent 14 hours on Twitter last week! 14!
Â
Even after the election was called, I still felt anxious and uneasy because...
- My emotions were HIGH
- My routine was out of whack
- I could barely catch my breath
- I found it hard to focus on literally anything
Despite my best intentions, election stress still got the best of me and I know I'm not alone. , if you felt overwhelmed by last week's events and you're having a hard time getting back into the swing of things, your feelings are valid.Â
Â
Today, I want you to take time to think about (or list) what your mind and body truly needs to recover. We all have different levels of responsibility so not everyone's needs will look the same but it's important that you give yourself a chance to reduce your stress and anxiety levels.
Â
If you need some ideas, here's what my recovery list looks like this week:
, your list can be as long or as short as you need it to be. After you write the list, commit to it and refer to it throughout the week. Feel free to reply back to this email with your game plan. We are in this together.Â
