Hi !
When's the last time you celebrated a win? If you're unfamiliar with the term, a "win" is simply something (big or small) that you've accomplished. It can be as small as making your bed every morning or as big as getting a promotion.
While the thought of celebrating yourself may feel uncomfortable, acknowledging your progress and accomplishments can help boost confidence, instill hope and keep your momentum going.
It's so easy to go day to day without acknowledging wins for yourself. In both our personal lives and careers, we're expected to always keep our heads down and put in the work without ever coming up for air. Before you know it, we've passed 50 milestones worth celebrating that are now on the back-burner. Let's change that starting today, okay ?
Last week, I reached out to Takia to ask her about her wins from last month. Here are some of our wins from August:
Takia:
- Launched the City Fit Girls' Harvest Run 5K and 10-Mile Run
- Increased weight in the back squat and deadlift
- Started a new mentorship program for trainers and coaches
Kiera:
- Officially became a meditation teacher for Three Queens Yoga (Sunday evenings!)
- Secured a new corporate client to host mediation for their employees
- Reached savings goal for the month
This week, I encourage you to spend some time thinking about your wins from August or even the beginning of this month. They can be big or small. If only one example comes to mind, that's still great! Be sure to celebrate it all. You deserve it.
Feel free to reply back to this email (or message a friend) with your wins!
