Â
Hey !
Â
Two weeks ago, we launched the City Fit Girls Virtual Harvest Run. Since then, hundreds of you have signed up for the free 5K or 10-Mile Run that takes place on the weekend of October 30th.Â
Â
Initially, our friends at Hoka One One committed to helping 10 runners receive an upgraded registration. Those 10 registrations were gone in a few days and with your support, we were able to help about a few dozen more runners upgrade their registration.Â
Â
Still, we knew that we wanted to help more people who are facing financial hardship or are underrepresented in running (women of color, transwomen, non-binary folks, people with different abilities and ALL body types) participate in the Harvest Run.Â
Â
Well , we received some great news last week that we’ve been dying to share with you. Hoka One One notified us that they are going to sponsor at least 50 additional runners who are either underrepresented in running or facing financial hardship to upgrade their registration! This means 50 more runners will receive the digital training plan and
official race t-shirt for the Harvest Run 5K! Hundreds of you are already signed up and we can't wait to add more to the team! 🥳
Â
So, if you or someone you know is either underrepresented in the running industry OR facing financial hardship, and would like to participate in the City Fit Girls’ Virtual Harvest Run this October, we invite you to join us!Â
Â
There are two steps for registering with a free upgrade:
- Start by signing up for the Harvest Run Virtual 5K. Select the Free option.
- Then, complete this questionnaire and we’ll get back to you with next steps.Â
Our mission has always been to introduce running and fitness to as many people as possible and this contribution from Hoka One One will allow us to help more people than we could have imagined. , help us spread the word to anyone that you know who has been wanting to run their first 5K.Â
Â
Happy training!Â
