Hey ,
Lately, I've been feeling lonely. I struggled with loneliness earlier in the pandemic but this time around, it feels like it hit much harder. Although I just moved into a new place and received some great news, I sometimes feel like I don't have anyone to discuss or share life updates with.
Yes, I know that I have people in my corner who want to be there for me but sometimes I feel bad for "bothering" them during these challenging times. That's why maintaining relationships during this pandemic has been a struggle, at least for me.
, how are you maintaining your relationships? If you are struggling in this area, you are not alone. In fact, if you're feeling lonely, it's possible that some of your loved ones are feeling the same way. Last week, I checked on a friend that I had not heard from in months. They let me know that they've been struggling, too. On Sunday, we made it a point to meet up and talk. We ended up catching up for three
hours.
Friendships are a two-way street. I would not have known about her struggles if I didn't reach out and she would not have known about mine if she didn't ask for more details about how I was really doing.
Is there anyone you'd like to catch up with? Even if you're not feeling lonely, your call may help someone who is. This week, I'm challenging you to make time to check on someone you care about but haven't heard from during the quarantine (even if they haven't reached out to you).
If you feel lonely, don't hesitate to reply to this email and share your experience with me. Remember, you're not alone.
