Hi ,
Although this year has felt like a blur, life has an interesting way of reminding us that time moves on regardless of circumstance.
Back in January, my therapist asked me to think of a word to help me navigate the year. I chose "process". As a person who loves to skip steps, I wanted to focus more on getting into the details.
COVID-19 and the movement for social justice in the United States forced me to dig into processes in ways that I could not have imagined. Not only have I been getting into the details, I've learned how to truly embrace and accept (unwanted) change. I'm proud of the progress that I've made being committed to - and trusting - the process.
Have you had time to truly reflect on your goals for the year, ? Despite so much uncertainty around COVID-19, I encourage you to reflect on whatever happened (or didn't happen) with the intentions you set in January - without judgement.
Now let's be realistic, we're in the middle of a pandemic so I've fallen short in certain areas at times but for the most part, I've been intentional in my work and personal life. As we head into August, I'll be doubling down on navigating my health and fitness processes with our new reality.
, give yourself permission to reflect on, acknowledge, and accept all that has happened this year. While we can't predict or control what the rest of 2020 will bring, we should still set intentions for the path forward. Maybe even set a word for yourself to navigate the rest of the year. Whatever you do, keep going.
